Travel Tuesday: Buckingham Palace

traveltuesdayicon

Buckingham Palace is a place which I, like many others most commonly identify with being British, it is one of the images – along with Big Ben – we see the most.  In late 2011 I finally decided to go for a day trip to the Palace and go inside.  It was an amazing trip, I was able to see Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress  (which was beautiful) and the Throne room.

Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of the British sovereigns since 1837 and was Queen Victoria’s home.  The Palace is made up of 775 room and is the headquarters for the Royal Family.
